Speaker Guidelines

Thank you for agreeing to present at the 2018 RECS. We are honored to have such a distinguished group of experts participating in this year's conference.

All speakers are required to submit the following by Tuesday, May 15, 2018.

Audiovisual Requests
  • Each meeting room will be equipped with a laptop computer (PC) with CD drive and USB ports‚ LCD projector‚ and screen.
  • You will be asked to confirm your audiovisual needs as part of the online conference registration process. Please note that the RECS Logistics Team must approve requests for any additional audiovisual equipment. If the RECS Logistics Team cannot accommodate your request‚ you will be contacted to discuss alternatives.
  • You will be asked to submit a brief biography in narrative form (no CVs) as part of the online conference registration process. Speaker biographies must be 250 words or less in length, and will be uploaded to the conference mobile app. The biography you submitted during the Call for Proposals will be used if you do not submit an updated version during registration.
Memorandum of Understanding (sponsored speakers only)
  • During the registration process, sponsored speakers will be provided with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to fill out, sign and submit in order to receive hotel and travel sponsorship and per diem for participating in the conference. Please refer to your speaker invitation to determine whether you are approved for sponsorship.

All speakers are required to submit the following by Tuesday, May 22, 2018.

PowerPoint Presentation
  • You will be asked to upload your presentation(s) as part of the online conference registration process. If you are not prepared to submit your presentation when you register, you can upload your presentation at a later date (but no later than Tuesday, May 22, 2018) by following the instructions in your confirmation e-mail. The laptops in the session rooms are compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint 2013. Please note that we do not accept MAC files. Alternatively, you may submit your presentation and handouts to RECS2018speakers@impaqint.com.
  • We recommend that you bring a full version of your presentation with you on a USB flash drive on the day of the presentation as a back-up.
  • All presentations submitted before the deadline will be pre-loaded onto the computer in your session room and will be posted in the conference mobile app.

Additional Information

  • In an effort to “go green,” we will not be making copies of PowerPoint presentations to distribute at the conference.
