No images? Click here Save the Date for RECS 2022The 21st Research and Evaluation Conference on Self-Sufficiency (RECS) will take place June 1—3, 2022, at the Capital Hilton in Washington, DC. Free and open to the public, this conference is sponsored by the Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation (OPRE) in the Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. OPRE will release a Call for Proposals for RECS 2022 in summer 2021. Who should attend RECS 2022?The conference is intended for a broad audience, including state and local government administrators, federal officials and policymakers, researchers, and practitioners. While conference sessions are focused on research and evaluation, they have policy and practice applications. Several sessions are designed to support policymakers and practitioners in understanding, developing, and applying research, and several sessions will speak to the direct needs of practitioners. Attendees at RECS 2020 represented the federal government, nonprofits, universities, research firms, state and local governments, and philanthropies. How will RECS 2022 be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic?At this time, we are planning to hold RECS 2022 in person. The wellness of our speakers, participants, and staff is our highest priority. APHSA & NAWRS 2021 Conference InformationThe 2021 Economic Mobility & Well-Being Conference will be held as a hybrid conference August 22-25, 2021 at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, which is in the center of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Hosted by the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA) and three of its affinity groups, in partnership with the National Association for Welfare Research and Statistics (NAWRS), the conference will provide a combined experience of in-person and virtual learning to bring together those committed to providing and improving human services programs.
